David Green is nurse consultant for immunisations with the national immunisation team based at Wellington House.
He has a particular focus on improving immunisation uptake in pregnancy, education of healthcare professionals in immunisation, vaccine incident management and the formulation of patient group directions for immunisation programmes. David completed a MPH at the University of Leeds in 2014 with a dissertation on the efficacy of pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccines in the elderly.
Protecting individuals and populations through immunisation programmes is a highly successful public health intervention that saves many lives across the globe each year.
