Carol Chatt

Carol Chatt is a Consultant Epidemiologist at UKHSA.
Carol went straight into public health specialist training once she had completed two years as a junior doctor after her medical degree.  She progressed to the role of Consultant in Communicable Disease Control before specialising in Epidemiology during the Covid pandemic.

This summer the West Midlands is hosting the Commonwealth Games. Preparing for, and managing the Games, is a massive undertaking involving a diverse range of agencies from across the UK and the Commonwealth.

One of the most important tasks partners have is keeping the 6,600 competitors and their teams from 72 nations, around 40,000 volunteers, spectators (one million tickets have been sold) and the local community healthy during this huge event.
