Mark Ewins

Mark Ewins is PHE's Head of Health Inequalities. He leads the National Health Inequalities Unit which operates across the country to provide support to teams within PHE, local areas and national bodies to reduce health inequalities based on the latest evidence base.

Prior to joining PHE, Mark was an Economic Advisor across Government on a number of wider determinants of health issues including fuel poverty, unemployment and climate change. He also worked at PwC as a management consultant where he advised private sector organisations on how they can manage their social, economic and environmental impacts.
