Consultant Epidemiologist and Head of TB Screening, Respiratory Diseases Department, Public Health England
Dr Dominik Zenner is Consultant Epidemiologist in the national TB section at the Centre for Infectious Disease Surveillance and Control, PHE Colindale and head of TB screening. He is dually accredited and also a practicing General Practitioner in London. He has a keen academic and strategic interest in TB surveillance, control and screening and helped develop and currently implementing the TB strategy for England. He leads the roll out of the national LTBI screening programme in England, a £10 million funded key intervention of the national strategy and is also the epidemiological lead for the UK pre-entry screening programme for active TB.
He has won several prizes for TB-related studies, including the Young Investigator award from the European Respiratory Society for his work on TB in Pregnancy and his work has informed national and international policy, including WHO guidelines.
