In the recent launch teleconference of the latest edition of Health Matters – on the subject of ‘Health Economics and making the most of your budget’ – we had a range of important questions on PHE’s Health Economics tools from professionals across the UK. This blog summarises the main topics that were covered.
Scott Mahony is an Economic Advisor within PHE’s Strategy Directorate. He has worked across numerous projects aimed at enabling local system partners to make informed decisions on which public health services provide the greatest value for their populations. Before joining PHE, Scott was part of the Public Health Intelligence Team for Kirklees Council. He has also held numerous health focused roles in the private sector. Scott has economics degrees from both the University of Edinburgh and the University of York.
