Sonia is a Public Health Intelligence Analyst in the Epidemiology and Surveillance Team in Public Health England. In this role she works on health inequalities, including the development, production and quality assurance of indicators, reports and maps for the Local Health Tool. Sonia joined Public Health England from the NHS where she worked as a Clinical Audit Facilitator in the East Midlands, and prior to this, held roles in Health Informatics in the NHS and Public Libraries for Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council
Local Health provides indicators for small geographies (electoral wards and middle super output areas) which allow users to look at variation within larger areas, such as local authorities and Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs).
